About Me

Although it does not matter, let me quickly tell you about my background. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and a Post-Graduation Diploma in Software Testing. Working currently as a Cyber Security Analyst. I have a total of 2 years of experience conducting various security testing. Before this, I have done PNPT from TCM Security and eJPT from eLearnSecurity. None of the above mentioned things are necessary for you to get started with the course and sitting in the CRTP exam. 🙂

Why CRTP?

After PNPT, I was ready for another challenge. This time I wanted to go for something that is more geared towards red teaming rather than pentesting. I also wanted to up my game in internal pentesting. I did the research and found 2 certifications that fits my need. Certified Red Team Professional (CRTP) by Altered Security and Certified Red Team Operator (CRTO) by Zero Point Security. CRTP focuses more on Active Directory and living off the land. CRTO focuses more on Adversary Emulation and using Command and Control (C2) Framework. As this was my first red teaming certification, I wanted it to be more manual so I decided to go for CRTP and postponed CRTO.

Pricing

CRTP offers 3 different options for buying the certification. All 3 includes life time access to course material and 1 certification exam attempt. The variable is the time in the lab. As of writing this blog, $249 option…
